Space Dog Mug

A simple mug, with a layered glaze finish and hand drawn decal print. Perfect for everyday cuppas.

Individually thrown and hand modelled from vitrified earthenware and double dipped in blue toned glazes.
In the 1950s and 60s the Soviet space program sent stray dogs into space to test out whether human space flight would be possible. My Space Dog illustration was reproduced as a decal and fired on to the glazed surface along with a screen printed gold lustre crescent moon.
